A. Linnette Bell BA(hons)

Born 1959 in Christchurch, Dorset into a family of artists and printers.
Her father is portrait artist Gareth Bell.

One year Foundation Art course at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art.
In addition, she attended life drawing classes given by the late Sam Rabin (famous for his paintings of boxing and wrestling men).
Sam Rabin instilled in his students the need for serious study of form, movement and space as a foundation for painting and sculpture.
His lineage through Charles Despiau to Auguste Rodin is much in evidence, seen in the sculptural quality of his paintings.

Linnette is also drawn to classical sculpture and has on occasions made head and shoulder portraits cast in bronze.
